Band Director Media Group offers an online learning tool which provides organized articles and videos to band directors and music educators for online learning credit through AMELA.
How to Participate
All participants must register with a username and password, as well as other required information. Once registered, the user may select any course in our catalog. Each course contains one or more lessons of content related to the described topic. Some courses are FREE and professional development certificates are available at nominal cost. Other courses are provided by leading music education professionals and are charged accordingly.
At the completion of each course, the user may be required to complete a short online quiz or report. After successful completion of the course, a professional development certificate, if requested, will be available for printing. This certificate can be used to apply for continuing education credits as required by the school district, state or association office.
Each course and/or certificate is purchased individually. The cost of the certificate is used to offset the administration of AMELA, the recording of each participant’s work, as well as the creation and recording of each certificate. Group registrations are available to recognized education organizations. Please contact AMELA@banddirector.com for more information.

Many articles and videos are available for preview free of charge on BandDirector.com. However, the organization and recording of participation is solely available through AMELA. We encourage you to view all available content on BandDirector.com at any time; however, we cannot issue credit for work done outside the AMELA system.
Other courses are provided by leading music and music education professionals.
